Big wins for our clients

Big challenges need Big Start.

Medical oxygen plant for Indonesian Government

Big Start Global continues to solve a critical shortage of oxygen in many parts of the world due to surging COVID-19 cases.

Big Start Global will use blockchain to track and distribute oxygen as the World Health Organisation reports the pandemic has accelerated its global demand.

Oxygen is needed to treat many patients whose lungs are failing due to COVID-19 infection. High-flow oxygen therapy is now also being used in preference to ventilators as a treatment in many parts of the world, including the US, creating high demand.

Hospitals around the globe continue to require oxygen on-site as cases surged in several nations, increasing demand and stressing the supply chain.

Big Start Global identified that oxygen was a vital medicine for patients at all levels of the healthcare system, and it was critical to ensure adequate supplies. Via the use of our global procurement skills, Big Start Global was able to meet the urgent procurement requirements of the Indonesian Ministry for Health who had partnered with the NGO, Oxygen for Indonesia. Big Start Global procured, exported, shipped, imported, then installed critically required medical oxygen Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants for the benefit of the Indonesian community.

This delivers on Big Start Global’s company mission: to provide ethical 'Supply Chain Certainty' to Governments, Non-Government Organisations and Multinational Corporations.

"Ensuring hospitals and medical centres have the ability to replenish their oxygen supplies is going to be vital in ensuring they do not run critically low," Big Start CEO Jack Quigley said.

Throughout the pandemic, Big Start Global has been ensuring frontline workers have access to crucial supplies. The company has chartered and filled cargo planes with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face masks, face shields, gloves and surgical masks sourced directly from trusted suppliers in Asia.

We will continue to grow and strengthen the oxygen supply chain across the ASEAN region and specifically in Indonesia, where the virus has continued to surge in some regions including parts of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and remote Papua.
